Welcome
Welcome to Shartstorm! We’re pretty laid back and the chat can be quiet during the day. Usually in the evening and during wars chat will pick up a bit. Feel free to ask questions and just say “hi” when you join!
Troop Requests
Feel free to request troops as soon as you join. If you start to request very specific troops a real lot it may take a while for the request to be filled. General requests such as 'for defense' or 'for raiding' will get filled much quicker.
Because we are a level 10 clan all troops get bumped up two troop levels when donated. So feel free to donate for genral request even if you have lower troops. If you're not sure what troops to donate it is usually safe to donate Archers or Wizards. War requests should only be filled with troops that will be max levels when donated.
Try to keep your donation / request ratio fairly even. Even if it's 1:2 you'll be fine.
War
We war two time a week with prep starting every Monday and Thursday. Prep usually starts around 11pm Eastern US time with the war starting the following day.
New members may not always make it into the first few wars. If you want to get into war then try to stay active and pop into chat every so often.
Here are a few important things regarding war:
- If you are in war use both of your attacks
- If you are a TH9 or greater you need to have all heroes available for war
- Don't opt in for war if your spell factory is upgrading
- Each player should fill the war CC direclty below their base. Sometimes higher players will help fill lower bases but you should always check the one below you.
- Put specific troops in your war cc request message
- We use the built in ‘War Notes’ to assign bases during war. Check the notes to see what initial base(s) have been picked for you
- Never do a TH snipe or a loot attack in war without asking a Co-Leader for approval
- Having a bad attack will never be held against you. But not listening to advice or not using an appropriate war army isn’t a good idea. Just do your best!
- If you’re ever unsure of what to do, just ask in chat
Clash Caller
We have currently switched to using the build in War Notes. Here is information on Clashcaller just in case we go back to using it.
We use clashcaller.com to help pick bases during war. A few hours before war we will send out a Clan Mail with a join code for Clash Caller. Simply go to the website and select the JOIN button and put in the code. Look for your name to see what base you are assigned to attack. Some times you might be assigned two bases.
After your attack you can go back to Clash Caller and enter in how many stars you got on your attack by clicking the button directly below your name. If you see that somone else has attacked and not put in their stars on Clash Caller you can enter it in for them as well.
After your first attack if there is a base you would like to attack next you can put your name down for it by clicking on the green plus sign by the base number. If there is someone before you on that base you should try to give them enough time to get their attack in or you can just ask a Coleader if it’s ok if you go first.
Clash Caller has a bunch of other cool features. You can read about them on their info page.
